A River of Plastic Waste in Guatemala

Unfortunately this is happening right now. We can take action in our daily life to reduce this for the future.

Insane facts: "More than eight million tonnes of plastic goes into the oceans every year, and it is estimated there will be more of it than fish by 2050. It is thought our seas now contain about 51 trillion microplastic particles – 500 times more than stars in our galaxy."

Tune in to how this makes you feel when you see this pretty graphic footage:

The Independent newspaper wrote an article about a huge mass of plastic waste arriving in the Caribbean, suspecting it came from this river in Guatemala.

The more conscious decisions we can make as consumers the the better for all life.
